Field Report
What is Yet Another Zombie Survivors?
Yet Another Zombie Survivors is a bullet heaven roguelite by Awesome Games Studio, available on PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series. It left Early Access on 20 August 2026 after three years, and version 1.0 was the size of roughly four content updates at once: a ninth survivor (Ranger), a fifth arena (Bio Lab), Boss Rush mode, a hub location called the Survivors' Camp with over 1,000 lines of dialogue, 88 new achievements, 21 new items and 28 Torments.
One thing the store page states plainly but the marketing hides: this is single-player only. You command a squad of up to three survivors, but you command all of them — they aim and fire on their own, and there is no co-op of any kind. The squad is a build system, not a lobby. What you actually optimise is which three survivors you take, which of the seven damage types you stack, and which weapon evolutions you commit to before the horde scales past you.

Get Started in 5 Steps
- Stop looking for the co-op button. There isn't one — the squad is single-player, and knowing that up front stops you playing it wrong.
- Clear The Isolated City on Default first. Arenas unlock in a chain, and Bio Lab sits behind Dead Terminal, which sits behind the ones before it.
- Pick a damage type and commit. Tags scale with how many you stack, so spreading across all seven is the classic new-player mistake — see how tags, Luck and Cash actually work.
- Do missions between runs. Every mission raises Team Bond, which permanently boosts the Cash and Specialization Points the whole squad earns. It caps at 250.
- Use Survival Level as your real progress bar. It gates the ninth survivor at 175 and has achievements at 100, 200, 300 and 400.

FAQ
Is Yet Another Zombie Survivors co-op or multiplayer?
No. The Steam store page lists Single-player and nothing else — there is no online co-op, no local co-op, no crossplay. The confusion is understandable: you command a squad of up to three survivors, and the marketing says 'assemble your squad'. But you control all of them at once, and they aim and fire on their own. Every 'multiplayer' feature in the game is asynchronous: Steam Leaderboards, and Family Sharing for the licence itself.
Is this the same game as Yet Another Zombie Defense HD?
No, but they are by the same studio and share a universe. Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is the older top-down base-defence game; Yet Another Zombie Survivors is the 2023 bullet-heaven roguelite that left Early Access on 20 August 2026. The link is acknowledged in-game: the achievement named 'Yet Another Zombie Defense' asks you to have three different turret-type abilities deployed at once.
How many achievements does Yet Another Zombie Survivors have?
229 as of version 1.0.0c. Version 1.0 added 88 of them on its own, and 64 of those 88 are Story achievements tied to the new mission system. This site lists all 229 with their exact unlock conditions.
How This Wiki Is Maintained
Yet Another Zombie Survivors Wiki is an independent, unofficial fan resource for Yet Another Zombie Survivors players — not affiliated with Awesome Games Studio.
- How we verify: Every achievement name and unlock condition on this site is transcribed from the live Steam achievement list for app 2163330, not retyped from memory or from another wiki. Item and mission counts come from the studio’s own 1.0 changelog, quoted with its publication date.
- Update cadence: Awesome Games Studio shipped four patches in the first nine days of 1.0. Data pages are re-checked against the Steam news feed within 48 hours of each hotfix, and the version they were last checked against is printed on the page.
- What we don't do: No estimated numbers dressed up as facts. Where the studio has not published a value — individual rank unlock thresholds, most item stats — this site says so instead of guessing, and it does not host trainer, cheat-table or cracked-build links.
